July 2023 - Quiet Time

           QUIET TIME  -  JULY 2023

THE FIRST BOOK OF MOSES - GENESIS

           God's Covenant with Noah

Please join us as we continue to learn from the First Book of Moses - GENESIS, looking again at Noah.

In the previous Chapters in Genesis, we read that after the fall of man, sin was inherited by all the

descendants of Adam. Consequently, only a few men in Adam's generations knew God, two walked with God.

The few Godly men who sought after, followed and remained in God, with their descendants in those days

were blessed. We too will be blessed in our generation, as we follow , serve Him, and remain in Christ

    and walk with God.

In John 15, shortly before His crucifixion, Jesus explained to His disciples, how His children can remain

in Him, grow in Him, and bear much fruit. He gave them His commandment, to love one another as He had

loved them, and gave His life for them. Christ's Teachings and commandments are also for His Church today.

In JOHN 17, Christ prayed to His Father concerning all His Church, including us, and His Father heard

    His prayers.

In JOHN 15, Jesus Christ says,

"I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch

that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself

except it abides in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,

the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

           6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;

and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will

and it shall be done unto you.

8 Herein that my Father is glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be

            my disciples.

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you; continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept

my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and

that your joy might be full.

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his

            friends.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15 Henceforth I call you not servants, for the servants knoweth not what

his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have

heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye

should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that

whatever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he may give it you.

17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

18 If the world hates you, ye know that it hateth me before it hateth you.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are

not of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than

his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they

have kept my sayings, they will keep yours also.

21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they

know not him that sent me.

22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they

have no cloak for their sin.

23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had

not had sin: but now have they both seen and hateth both me and my Father.

25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written

in their law, They hateth me without a cause.

26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father,

even the Spirit of truth, which proceeded from the Father, he shall testify of

            me.

27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning."

          (JOHN 15 : 1-27 KJV).

After His crucifixion and resurrection on the third day, Jesus Christ revealed His Person, and His Purpose

for coming to the world to His disciples, before He was taken up into Heaven, in Luke 24; Matthew 28.

He commanded His disciples to take the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to all nations, to humanity He died

for, for remission of their sins, to redeem them to God. He told His disciples that the law of Moses, the

Prophets and Psalms were referring to His Person, His Mission on Earth, in the Old Testament of the Holy

    Scriptures.

Today, Christ is still Calling each believer in Him, is to carry out the Apostolic work as Mission Partners,

who take His Gospel of Salvation and Redemption to all nations, so all humanity can hear about His Final

Sacrifice, and His Father's Love for them. This commandment is First Priority than anything else any single

or group of believers are doing for Jesus Christ now. He will return when His Church have selflessly,

completed this God's Kingdom Apostolic Work! (Matthew 24;25).

Christ's heart is breaking for more than half of the world's population who have never heard of Him,

    'Christ our Passover sacrificed for us...'1 Corinthians 5. 6,7, Exodus 12:42; 1 Cor.11:23-25; Lk22.14,44;

John 19.14, 16-18.And of His Father's Love for the world. John 3:14-17.

The Church must wake up from sleep, and work, for the night is coming, when no one can work again!

Jesus is coming again for His Church, who obey, live in Him and bear much fruit as He commanded them to do.

Not for Double Minded people who have left Him, and the Old Paths. John 3 . James 1;2;3;4;5. Galatians 5.

Growing as a branch in Christ the True Vine, with other branches, born again in God's Spirit Christians,

is mandatory for all believers. During private Bible study, prayer time, and sharing our faith with people,

the Holy Spirit teaches believers more of Christ, God's Truth, the Way and the Life.

Meeting in person, with other believers, and caring for each other's needs, as Christ's first disciples

did, are vital to growth for all. This happens by regularly attending a local church who believes in Christ,

His teachings, and where God's Truth from the Holy Bible, is preached, is recommended in the Holy Bible.

Christianity is not a religion. It is a Spiritual relationship between, God the Father, God the Son, and

God the Holy Spirit, The One True God, Who live in Born again in the Spirit of God Believers in Christ.

It is an earthly reflection of God's Family, in His Kingdom of Heaven.

When believers pray for an authentic place of worship, the Holy Spirit leads them to the right place.

This prevents them being influenced by common End Times False religious doctrines.

    (2 Thessalonians 2);(1 Timothy 4);(Revelation 1; 2; 3, 21).

Christ explained these mysteries to his perplexed disciples, shortly before His crucifixion, when He

promised to send them the Holy Spirit, as He had almost finished the work His Father had sent Him to do on

earth, and then return to heaven where He came from. His Words and Comfort apply to all His disciples,

    including us. Jesus said,

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.

        I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;

that where I am, there ye may be also.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the

        way?

Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the

        Father, but by me.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye

know him, and have seen him.

Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Jesus said unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have thou not known

me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou, Show us

        the Father?

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I

speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father dwelleth in me, he doeth the

        works.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the

        very works sake.

Verily, verily, I say nto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall

he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be

        glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,

Even the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not,

neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me, because I live,

        ye shall live also.

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that

loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself

        to him.

Judas said unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto

        us, and unto the world?

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father

will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the words which ye hear is not mine,

but the Father's which sent me.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father wwill send in my name, he

shall teach you all things, and bring all thins to your remembrance, whatsoever I have

        said unto you.

Peace I live with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto

you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me,

ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that, when it is come to pass ye might

        believe.

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and had

        nothing in me.

But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment,

even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

                ( JOHN 14: 1-31 KJV).

Having fellowship with one another prevents isolation and loneliness, falling away from the faith, due

to a lack of support, if each member of God's family do not meet together to learn, grow, and serve God.

Water Baptism is vital to our faith, as it is an outward sign that we have died, buried and risen with

Christ, as Christ commanded His Apostles to nations they minister to, who believe, before His ascension

    to heaven.

The Holy Communion, that Christ commanded His disciples to share with Him at Passover, the bread being His

body, broken for them, and the cup being the new testament in His blood, at His Last Supper, before He was

betrayed, is a sign that believers are obeying Him, and are practicing their faith in Him. He commanded His

Church to share it as a remembrance of His death until He returns, partaking in it with full knowledge

that it is Sacred, and Holy.

Paul the apostle of Christ gives guidance to believers on how to partake of the Holy Communion safely.

    He says ,

"For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you,

That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

he brake it, and said, Take, eat:this is my body, which is broken for you:

this do in remembrance of me.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying,

This cup is the new testament in my blood:this do ye, as oft as ye drink

             it, in remembrance of me.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's

             death till he come.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord,

unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink

             of that cup.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation

to himself, not deserving the Lord's body.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

For if we judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be

             condemned with the world.

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto

condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come."

            (1Corinthians 11:23-34).

It is the Holy Spirit Who lives in us, Who empowers us to live above sin. This is how we can be perfect

as God commands us to be, in our generation.

     (Ephesians 5 ; 6). ( 1 Peter 3).

Godly men who walk with God are rare to find in any generations. They love and fear God and He loves them

and their families, and will bless, protect and provide for them at all times.

It is not easy to raise Godly people of today and of the future. But like anything else in life where

Jesus Christ is included, those who raise other Godly human beings on Earth for God, will be blessed,

    and succeed with their families.

These Godly men succeeded as husbands and Fathers, because they walked with God.

Matthew 5; 6; 7, records Christ's sermon on the mount. It sums up how we can pray to God, how we can live the

victorious Christian lives, it teaches the Word of God that people need to learn about God, know and love

Him, to enable them practice it in their daily lives, to please God. In conclusion to His message in

Matthew 5, Jesus Christ commanded His Church,

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

           ( Matthew 5:1-45 KJV).

Christian family members can be perfect and can remain united, if Christ is welcomed as the Head of the

home. He will help every member live righteous lives, and love God, and each other, as they put into

practice His teachings and God's laws for holy living, written in the Holy Bible. (Isaiah 40:1-12).

Men of God in Adam's generations had children who studied them closely, and watched them walk with God,

having holy relationships and fellowships with God, and were blessed too. As they followed their fathers

footsteps they also became members of families of God fearing men in their own generations.

The Holy Bible says in GENESIS 5 : 18-24 KJV,

     " And Ma-hal-a-leel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jar-ed;

And Ma-hal-a-leel lived after he begat Jar-ed eight hundred and

thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:

And all the days of Ma-hal-a-leel were eight hundred ninety and five

     years; and he died.

And Jar-ed lived an hundred sixty and two years, and begat E-noch:

And Jar-ed lived after he begat E-noch eight hundred years, and begat

     sons and daughters:

And all the years of Jar-ed were nine hundred sixty and two years: and

     he died.

And E-noch lived sixty and five years and begat Me-thu-se-lah:"

       ( GENESIS 5 : 15-21 KJV).

And the Holy Bible says concerning this very special man who lived in an evil generation,

but untouched by its evil. How did he do it? The key is in the Holy Bible that says,

"And E-noch walked with God after he begat Me-thu-se-lah three

hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

And all the days of E-noch were three hundred sixty and five years:

And E-noch walked with God: and he was not: for God took him."

       (GENESIS 5 : 22-24 KJV).

So to live in a world, spoiled by sin, but untouched by sin, we must walk with God throughout our lives.

E-noch walked with God, focusing on God although he was a husband and a father to many children. He

knew that to succeed, he himself needed a Special Father, Who would help him be the best husband and father

to guide and walk with him through life. God was all he needed, for this life and godliness. So he walked

with his heavenly Father, God, not letting go of His hand. God gave E-noch all the strength he needed to

succeed daily. He lived the shortest years on earth unlike other Godly men of his generation, because God

loved him so much, He took him. They could not part from each other.

The Holy Bible tells us from GENESIS 5: 25-32 about the descendants of E-noch the man of God

    He took with Him:

" And Me-thu-se-lah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and

       begat La-mech:

And Me-thu-se-lah lived after he begat La-mech seven hundred eighty

and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

And all the days of Me-thu-se-lah were nine hundred sixty and nine

       years: and he died.

And La-mech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us

concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground

       which the LORD hath cursed.

And La-mech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five

years, and begat sons and daughters:

And all the days of La-mech were seven hundred seventy and seven

       years: and he died.

And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and

       Ja-pheth. "

We live in the post flood generations, and we are the children from the generations of Righteous Noah.

As we are experiencing Tough Times, that Christ spoke of in MATTHEW 24 two thousand years ago, when He

walked this earth; We need God to survive the unknown. God's Children can learn from Godly men whom God

chose, called, and used for His purposes, in previous generations.

Jacob, the Patriarch, whom God renamed Israel, had so much blessings and troubles. God and His hosts,

followed him everywhere he went, for a reason. Gen. 27; 28: 12-22 KJV); (Gen. 31 : 1-3 KJV)

(Gen. 32 : 1-2 ). As God advised him to return to the land of his fathers and kindred, when he lost Laban's

favour, Jacob fled with his family and all he had. On the way home, Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau,

his brother, he fled from years before, after taking his blessings. When the messengers returned and told

him Esau was coming to meet him, he was very afraid and distressed. He sent some of his possessions forward, and kept some behind with him

and sent presents to Esau, his brother. That night, he sent his two wives, his two women servants, and his

eleven sons, over the ford Jab-bok, then he sent them and all he had, over the brook Gen. 32:3-23.

And he was left alone. The Holy Bible says,

" And Jacob was left alone: and there wrestled a man with him until

         the breaking of the day.

And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the

hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint,

         as he wrestled with him.

And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not

let thee go, except thou bless me.

And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for

as a prince thou has power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he

said, Wherefore is it that thou doest ask after my name; and he blessed

         him there.

And Jacob called the name of that place Pen-i-el: for I have seen God

face to face, and my life is preserve.

And as he passed over Pen-u-el, the sun rose upon him, and he halted

         upon his thigh.

Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew that shrank, which

is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: for he touched the hollow

of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank ( GENESIS 32 : 24-32 KJV).

         GENESIS 28:1-22 KJV).

God fulfils His promise to deliver humanity on earth through His Children who obey His call. Who remain

in God's Will for their lives, who depend entirely on Him to lead them all the way, to the place He

has ordained them to serve Him. They cannot be somewhere else. When they obey His call, return to Him,

get back home to the place of service, having laid aside all distractions, and wait alone for Him to help

them, God, Who has been waiting for them to return, will meet them on the way, to escort them home. But

first, He will have a Father and Child, Face to Face, time with them for as long as it takes. On their

persistence not to let God go, until He blesses them, He will respond, Change their lives, Bless them

there, and remove the source of hinderance to His call. That Child of God will be transformed forever!

As the Holy Spirit of God dwell in His Surrendered people, helping them to complete the work on earth,

they await the glorious Return of Jesus Christ their Saviour and Lord, to Rapture them to Himself, to dwell

with Him forever in their glorious heavenly mansions He has prepared for them, in His Father's House.

    MATTHEW 24;25 KJV; Daniel 12:1; Rev. 11;18-19; 22: 10-12; 1 Cor. 6:1-3; Rev. 12 :1-17; Rev. 16:1-21 KJV.

God fearing men from Adam's generations were Surrendered, Obedient, Perfect, Meek Men. They had no Will nor

Life of their own. They Belonged to God! Let us learn from Noah, so we too can qualify as fully surrendered,

obedient servants of God. We Belong to God, in our generation!

Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD in his generation. God found Noah perfect, a just man who walked

with God. God chose and advised Noah, to build Him an ark, for himself, his three sons,

his wife, and the three wives of his three sons with him, eight people in total. And to take of beasts

after their kind, clean beast seven, the male and his female. unclean beasts, two each, a male and his

female, and seven fowls of the air, the male and his female, and food, with him into the ark to keep seed

alive upon the face of all the earth. Noah did all God commanded him. At God's command, they all went into

the ark, and were safe inside of it. God shut them in.

    The Holy Bible says,

"In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month,

the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the

fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven

        were opened.

And the rain was upon the earth 40 days and forty nights."

          (GENESIS 7:11-12 KJV).

The waters of the flood were upon the earth, as God destroyed all wicked people, and all the land

creatures and fowls of the air, every living thing from the earth. Water filled the earth, covered all

hills, mountain tops, and all living things perished. Noah, his family, and the beasts, and fowls of

the air, remained safe in the ark. The waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth . All flesh died in

whom was the breath of life. And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

Noah only remained alive, and all that were with him in the ark.

     The holy Bible says,

"God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the

cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to

pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged.

The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven

were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.

And the waters returned from off the earth continually:

and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters

       were abated.

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth

day of the month, upon the mountains of Ar-a-rat."

        GENESIS 8: 1-4 KJV).

The earth dried on the seven and twentieth day of the month. As GENESIS 7 15-17 KJV, says,

"And God spake unto Noah, saying,

Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons,

and thy sons wives with thee.

Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee,

of all flesh, both of fowl, and cattle, and of every creeping

thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed

abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful and multiply upon

        the earth.

Noah did as God commanded him to do. He then built an alter unto the LORD; and he took every clean beast

and every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the alter.

   The Holy Bible says,

" And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in

his heart, I will not again curse the ground anymore for

man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from

his youth, neither will I again smite anymore everything

        living, as I have done.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and

heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease"

          GENESIS 8 : 21-22 KJV).

Let us continue to learn from GENESIS, Chapters 9, 10 and 11.

                   GENESIS 9

                  God's covenant with Noah

"AND God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and

   multiply, and replenish the earth.

   2. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of

the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the

earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

   3. Every living thing that moveth shall be meat for you; even as the green

herb have I given you all things.

   4. But flesh with the life thereof, shall ye not eat.

   5. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every

beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's

brother will I require the life of man.

   6. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the

image of God made he man

   7. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the

   earth and multiply therein.

   8. And God spoke unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

   9. And I , behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed

   after you;

   10. And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the

cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of

the ark, to every beast of the earth.

   11. And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be

cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be

be a flood to destroy the earth.

   12. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me

and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

   13. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of the covenant

   between man and the earth.

   14. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the

bow shall be seen in the cloud:

   15. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you, and every

living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to

   destroy all flesh.

   16. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may

remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all

flesh that is upon the earth.

   17. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have

established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

   18. And the sons of Noah, that went out of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and

Ja-pheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

   19. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them were the whole earth

   overspread.

   20. And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

   21. And he drank of te wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within

   is tent.

   22. And ham, the father of Canaan saw the nakedness of his father, and told

   his two brethren without.

   23. And Shem and Ja-phet took a garment, and led it upon their shoulders,

and went backward, and covered te nakedness of their father; and their faces

were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

   24. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto

   him.

   25. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto

   his brethren.

   26. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his

   servant.

   27. God shall enlarge Ja-pheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and

   Canaan shall be his servant.

   28. And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

   29. And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

     ( GENESIS 9 : 1-29 KJV).

                 GENESIS 10

NOW these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Sem, Ham, and Ja-pheth:

and unto them were sons born after the flood.

    2. The sons of Ja-pheth; Go-mer and Ma-gog, and Ma-dai, and Ja-van, and

    Tu-bai, and Me-shech, and Ti-ras.

    3. And the sons of Go-mer, Ash-ke-naz, and Ri-phath, and To-gar-mah.

    4. And the sons of Ja-van, E-li-shah, and Tarshish, Kittim and Do-da-nim.

    5. By these were the isles of the gentiles divided in their lands; every

one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

    6. And the sons of Ham, Cush, and Miz-ra-im, and Phut, and Canaan.

    7. And the sons of Cush, Se-ba, and Hav-i-lah, and Sab-tah, and Ra-a-mah,

    She-ba, and De-dan.

    8. And Cush begat Nimrod: he bagan to be a mighty one in the earth.

    9. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: Wherefore it is said, Even as

Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

    10. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Er-ech, and Ac-cad,

and Cai-neh, in the land of Shi-nar.

    11. Out of that land went forth Assh-ur, and builded Nin-e-veh, and the city

    Ra-ho-both, and Ca-lah.

    12. And Re-sen between Nin-e-veh and Ca-lah: the same is a great city.

    13. And Miz-ra-im begat Lu-dim, and An-a-min, and Le-ha-bim, and Naph-tu-him,

    14. And Path-ru-sim, and Cas-lu-him,( out of whom came Philistim,)and

    Caph-to-rim.

    15. And Canaan begat Si-don his firstborn, and Heth,

    16. And the Jeb-u-site, and the Amorite, and the Ger-gas-ite,

    17. And te Hi-vite, and the Ar-kite, and the Si-nite,

    18. Ar-va-dite, and the Zem-a-rite, and the Ha-math-ite: and afterwards were

the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.

    19. And the border of the Canaanites was from Si-don, as thou goest to Ge-rar,

unto Ga-za; as thou goest unto Sodom, and Go-mor-rah, and Ad-mah, and Ze-bo-im,

    even unto La-sha.

    20. These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in

their countries, and in their nations.

    21. Unto Shem also, the father of the children of E-ber, the brother of Ja-phet

the elder, even to him were children born.

    22. The children of Shem; E-lam, and Ass-ur, and Ar-phax-ad, and Lud, and Ar-am.

    23. And the children of Ar-am; Uz, and Hl, and Ge-ther, and Mash.

    24. And Ar-phax-ad begat Sa-lah; and Sa-lah begat E-ber.

    25. And unto E-ber were born two sons; the name of one was Pe-leg; for in his

days was the earth divided; and is brother's name was Jok-tan,

    26. And Jok-tan begat Al-mo-dad, and She-lev, and Ha-zar-ma-vet, and Je-rah,

    27. And Ha-dor-ram, and U-zal, and Dik-lah,

    28. And O-bal, and A-bim-a-el, and She-ba,

    29. And O-phir, and Hav-i-lah, and Jo-bab: all these were the sons of Jok-tan.

    30. And their dwelling was from Me-sha, as thou goest unto Se-phar a mount of

    the east.

    31. These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in

    their lands, after their nations.

    32. These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in

their nations: and by these were the nations divided after the flood.

     ( GENESIS 10 : 1-32 KJV).

                  GENESIS 11

                 The tower of Babel

AND the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

    2. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain

in the land of Shi-nar; and they dwelt there.

    3. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly.

And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.

    4. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach

unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the whole

    earth.

    5. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men

    built.

    6. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and

these they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have

    imagined to do.

    7. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not

    understand one another's speech.

    8. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth:

and they left off to build the city.

    9. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the

language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon

the face of all the earth.

    10. These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat

Ar-phax-ad two years after the flood.

    11. And Shem lived after he begat Ar-pahax-ad five hundred years, and begat sons

    and daughters.

    12. And Ar-phax-ad lived five and thirty years , and begat Sa-lah:

    13. Ar-phax-ad lived after he begat Sa-lah, four hundred and three years, and begat

    sons and daughters.

    14. And Se-lah lived thirty years and begat E-ber:

    15. And Se-lah lived after he begat E-ber, four hundred and three years, and begat

    sons and daghters.

    16. And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Pe-leg;

    17. And E-ber lived after he begat Pe-leg for hundred and thirty years, and begat

    sons and daughters.

    18. And Pe-leg lived thirty years and begat Re-u:

    19. And Pe-leg lived after he begat Re-u, two hundred and nine years, and begat

    sons and daughters.

    20. And Re-u lived two and thirty years and begat Se-rug:

    21. And Re-u lived after he begat Se-rug two hundred and seven years, and begat

    sons and daughters.

    22. And Se-rug lived thirty years and begat Nahor;

    23. And Se-rug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and

    daughters.

    24. And Nahor lived nine and twenty years and bagat Te-rah:

    25. And Nahor lived after he begat Te-rah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat

    sons and daughters.

    26. And Te-rah lived seventy years and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

    27. Now these are the generations of Te-rah: Te-rah begat Abram, Nahor and Ha-ran;

    and Haran begat Lot.

    28. And Haran died before his father Te-rah in the land of his nativity, in Ur

    of the Chal-dees.

    29. And Abram and Nahur took them wives: and the name of Abram's wife was Sar-a-i:

and the name of Nahur's wife, Mil-cah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Mil-cah

     and the father of Is-cah.

    30. But Sar-a-i was barren; she had no child.

    31. And Te-rah took Abram his son, Lot the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sar-a-i

his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur

of the Chal-dees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Ha-ran, and

     dwelt there.

    32. And the days of Te-rah was two hundred and five years: and Te-rah died in Ha-ran.
